Q.1 I have still not received my
GD/PI letter, when can I expect the same?
All
the GD/PI letters have been dispatched. If the same is not received by 20th of
Feb then contact the admissions office.

Q.2 What is the procedure to change the venue/date
of my allocated GD/PI schedule?
As
soon as you receive your GD/PI schedule, forward a mail to admisn@ximb.ac.in clearly stating the need and
the reason for changing the allocated schedule. Wait for the confirmation.
Q3: Do
you have reservation of seats?
As
such there no defined number of reserved seats, however for the domicile
category applicants the cut-off of the XAT scores are lowered. Once the calls
are given out for GD/PI, all applicants are at the same platform, and depending
upon their overall performance they are judged.
Q4: Is there separate
GD/PI lists for CAT and XAT applicants?
No, there is only a single list for all the
applicants.
Q5: Is there any
difference in the CAT and XAT score short listing?
The
short listing is done on the basis of cut-off percentiles (sectionals and
overall). Both CAT and XAT percentiles have the same weight age.
Q6: Which
are the XIMB GD/PI centres?
GD & PI will be held in Bangalore, Bhubaneswar,
Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai.
Q7: What are the criteria for final selection?
The final
selection will be made on the basis of the candidate's performance in the
XAT/CAT as well as in the Group Discussion and Personal Interview (which
factors in the past academic record and relevant work experience). The selected
candidates will be informed by mail in the month of April 2012.
Q8: When will the new session start?
The programme will begin by the middle of June 2012 for the
first year students.
Q9: Does
the previous work experience have any weight age in selection criteria?
Yes, weight age is
given to work experience during the final selection process.
Q10: Is it compulsory to stay on
campus for residential MBA program at XIMB?
Yes. It’s a
residential program with complete hostel facility provided to students.
Q.11: What documents should I be
carrying to the GDPI?
Carry 3
copies of your resume. Also, carry a folder with all your certificates
including academic certificates, work experience certificates (joining letter
should do if currently working), extracurricular certificates etc.
Q.12: Do I need to carry any proof
of domicile (if I am an Orissa domicile) to the GDPI?
No, you
do not need to carry any proof of domicile to the GDPI. The proof of domicile
will be needed if you clear the GDPI and obtain admission to XIMB.
Q.13: What should I wear to the
GDPI?
For
girls, a formal shirt and trousers is preferable (blazer optional).
Alternatively, Indian formals can also be worn. For male aspirants, a business
suit is the most suitable.
Q.14: I have been shortlisted for both PGDM(BM) and PGDM(HRM). Will I
have two separate GD-PI’s.
No,
you will have only one GD-PI.
