3. What are your expectations from this course and where do you see yourselves 7-8 years down the line?
4. Frame a livelihood plan for a rural area that will majorly employ and support women.
A few technical questions related to my graduation were also asked.
I was also asked about my state, and about the condition of agriculture there.
Towards the end the interviewer had  a sort of discussion regarding the condition of women in my state ( Uttarakhand) and  their major problems.

XIMB GD-PI Experience -3

Name: Joslin Jose
Graduation: B. Sc. Agriculture
Work ex: NIL
IRMA score: 87%
Course: PGDM-RM
GDPI location: Chennai
GD topic:  Discuss on’ Bail granted to Hasan Ali Khan’ (The Bombay High Court  had granted bail to Pune stud farm owner Hassan Ali Khan, arrested  for alleged involvement in   money laundering scam .This was the newspaper headline of my GDPI day)
PI: My personal interview was quiet smooth and friendly. The duration was 8 minutes. Prof. Soosai Peppin, Fr. George Joseph and Prof. Sanjay Mohapatra were in the panel. I was the 5 th to be called in my slot and it was almost lunch time. They themselves told that we are breaking off for lunch so will not grill you at all with the questions.
They started off with the basic question, ‘tell me about yourself’ and tell me about your family.
The questions were mainly aimed at testing my interest in the domain. After 4 years of my involvement with rural India, why I again want to go back to the same sector?
Why I want to do RM and why not IRMA and all.
And since I belong to Kerala, they asked me something about the peculiarities of Malayalees and would I be able to cope up with totally new climatic and cultural conditions?
Who all are my college seniors in XIMB? Have they told me anything about JLTs’?
The only content based question was about hypothesis. The panel asked me to define hypothesis and thesis.
Altogether it was a stress free and relaxed PI atmosphere.

I was asked to give a brief description about myself highlighting information that is not given in the CV. Then I was asked about a number of villages of south and as far as i understood that question was to put me in stress because those villages were very uncommon. I was also asked about some handicrafts and where they are made.
The next question was on why RM after engineering and I was also asked why i did not join an IT company even after being placed. I was asked as to what the company does and its relevance and all sorts of IT related questions. Next i was asked about 3 G scam and Commonwealth Scam and also about the infamous Gurjar Andolan of Rajasthan.
All in all it was a nice and a speedy process.
